Described as soulful funk with a taste for jams, The Textures emerged as one of the hottest bands out of the Quad Cities’ music scene after winning Battle of the Bands, Summer Camp: On the Road in 2020 and
2022.
Front-woman & lead vocalist Kelsey Lillion is known as the “Lil’ Lion” of the band, for her powerful vocal tange, low-end grit, and edgy lyrics that tell about the human experience.
Their dual guitarists build rhythmic layers and craft tasteful melodies which speak volumes about their
heart and soul, while the band’s quick sliding basslines and frequency-shifting percussive keys make for disco-funk grooves that are timeless.
