Quad Cities Halloween Shows - Everything You Need To Know - The Echo

What’s scarier than not having a costume for Halloween? Not having plans! The Echo has curated a rundown of shows all over the Quad Cities to ensure Halloweekend is a graveyard smash!

Looking to get psychedelic for Halloween? Check out Howl-O-Ween Trip Out! At the Village Theater in Davenport on Sunday, Oct. 24, starting at 6:00 p.m., you will see Darsombra & Giallows w/ Del Rockford! These bands explore sounds, and you are in for one hell of a trip!

Like Frankenstein, this band was put together with multiple parts to form one entity. Okey Dokey has returned just in time for Fall, and their sounds feature indie rock, with touches of psychedelia with touches of early 60’s pop. The reincarnated, Okey Dokey will be at the Raccoon Motel in Davenport on Sunday, Oct. 24, from 8:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Ever had your face melted off? River + City Collection put together a show that will require surgery after all the Deathcore your ears will hear. Featuring; The Last Ten Seconds of Life, Filth, Falsifier, Weeping Wound, and Portals, this show will be emotionally intense and punish sounds all night, at Skylark QC in Rock Island, Wednesday, Oct. 27, starting at 5:30 p.m. 

 

Stuck between a rock and a hard place on what to do?  The River + City Collective has got your back! Check out the rock band A Light Divided! From North Carolina, they are on their Kinetic Energy Tour, with over 1 Million streams worldwide. Featuring the rock group The Almas, this show will be LOUD! Check it out at the Rock Island Brewing Company, Friday, Oct. 29, starting at 8:00 p.m.

 

Pre-Party with candy corn and jams? Before the nightly spooky festivities, enjoy some jams and brews with the Channel Cats!  At Crawford Brew Works in Bettendorf, Saturday, Oct. 30, from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m., they’ll be rocking to get your Halloween festivities kicked off early!

 

It’s 2009. Myspace is at its height. You are wearing your best skinny jeans, held up by your studded belt. Your dark eyeliner is accentuated by your jet-black hair with long bangs. You just burnt a CD with your favorite bands; Taking Back Sunday, My Chemical Romance, Paramore, Fall Out Boy, Hawthorne Heights, The Used, and AFI. Remember that feeling? Relive it at A Very Emo Halloween at Analog Arcade Bar in Davenport. Saturday, Oct. 30, starting at 9:00 p.m., showcasing your favorite music videos all night long. 

 

Have you ever dressed like a Psycho Killer for Halloween? I hope not. But if you love that song, check out Heads in Motion – A Talking Heads Tribute with The Textures! At the River Music Experience in Davenport, Saturday, Oct. 30, from 8:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m., enjoy your favorite Talking Heads songs all night long! 

 

Looking for a groovy night to dance with ghosts and ghouls? Check out Soul Storm at the Gypsy Highway for their Halloween Bash in Davenport! Dress up as your favorite character and join the party with local band Soul storm, playing funky tunes to get your hips shaking. On Saturday, Oct. 30, from 8:30 p.m. – 12:30 p.m. and join the party! 

 

What’s better than celebrating Halloween and supporting a great cause!? Check out the Halloween Benefit Show for Rock Island Public schools at the Village Theater in Davenport! Saturday, Oct. 30 from 5:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. featuring artists including LUNG (OHIO) w/locals, SMOKEFALL, JYE, AUBS.,SOULTRU, AHZIA, EVERLASTING LIGHT (HALLOWEEN SPECIAL), REGGIE WAYNE + CO.

 

Planning on dressing up as Tommy and Pamela?
97x is hosting the annual Dwyer and Michaels Halloween Costume Ball at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds. Hosted on Oct. 30, this party includes the classic sounds of Hairbangers Ball and Cheese Pizza. Show up in the best costume and you could walk away with a cash prize! 

 

If you’re in search of a bit of country music this Halloween, look no further than Gypsy Highway. North of 40 is pulling out all the stops for their Halloween Weekend Party. Dress up as Johnny, and you may just find your June! 

 

The American Rebel Tour with Dage Lee and Jake Kleofkorn is passing through the QC, too. Head to Unimpaired for their Halloween Bash on Oct. 29. Let us know which of the spooky-themed drinks is your favorite! 

Harley Corin’s is making a weekend of it, by kicking off the Halloween celebrations on Oct. 29. Stop in for some rock’n’roll tunes from the local band Danger Zone. If you’re looking for a divey way to kick off the holiday weekend, Pre-Halloween Rockin is for you! 

 

Heartland Connections is bringing a Halloween show to the Blackhawk Room connected to Bierstube. On Oct. 30, DYNORIDE will take over. While costumes aren’t necessary, you have to commit to having fun. 

The Stone Flowers are bringing the party to East Moline! On Oct. 30, they’ll be taking over Whiskey Stop for a costume party. Make is a stop on your Halloween party tour or plan for a group to be there all night, either way, the party kicks off at 9 p.m. and lasts until 1 a.m.

 

We’ll consider it an honorable mention (secretly we’re trying to turn it into a costume party) but Raccoon Motel is bringing Turnover, Widowspeak, and Temple of Angels to the QC for a Halloween weekend show. Make our dreams come true and show up in a costume?

Crawford Brew Works is capping off the holiday weekend with the Burney Sisters! The trio recently played at the Alternating Currents Festival in August. Rave reviews have us preparing to soak up some hair of the dog (and a burger from Floyds) and settling in for a great set.
