Record Store Day is back at Ragged Records and Trash Can Annie in Davenport Iowa. Starting at 9:00AM we’ll be stocking our shelves with an extensive selection of limited edition Record Store Day titles. Be sure to show up on time or line up early to get your desired title. We’ll be giving away free Ragged Records / Gnar City tote bags packed with goodies to the first 150 customers through the door. More info: Record Store Day was conceived in 2007 at a gathering of independent record store owners and employees as a way to celebrate and spread the word about the unique culture surrounding nearly 1400 independently-owned record stores in the US and thousands of similar stores internationally. The first Record Store Day took place on April 19, 2008. Today, Record Store Day is celebrated at independently-owned brick-and-mortar record stores around the world.We open an hour early at 9:00AM but you might want to get in line early. Some people usually show up in the wee hours of the morning and we’ve been known to have a line all the way down the block as early as 8:00AM. Releases are first come, first serve to those who show up. We can not reserve any titles. Each customer is allowed only one copy per title, but you can buy as many different titles as you want. We usually go pretty wild with the variety and quantity of titles we order but sometimes titles are so limited edition we can only get a certain amount of copies.
