Emma Peridot is driven to create music that will capture the hearts of masses, while simultaneously remaining unapologetic in her identity. Her edged-out alt-pop sound blends strong elements of pop-rock and electropop.
Her artistic beginnings are humble; during her college years, she began releasing music on Soundcloud and performing locally in small clubs and dive bars around the metropolitan Indianapolis area. But after securing an opening slot for Quinn XCII at Butler University, a refreshed confidence was ignited in her artistry. As a young, LGBTQ+ pop artist, Emma’s journey revolves around documenting her experiences in a way that resonates with those who feel misunderstood.

Alternating Currents festival was founded in 2017 by the Downtown Davenport Partnership (DDP), a division of the Quad Cities Chamber. Now the event is powered by DDP and has expanded to include host downtowns Downtown Bettendorf Organization and Rock Island Downtown Alliance. The event is successful because of the many creative partners and businesses who come together to create an amazing experience for all. This year, AC’s Presenting Sponsors are Regional Development Authority (RDA) and Rhythm City Casino Resort.
