Steven M Krug Jr is a singer/songwriter who was born in the California desert, primarily grew up in the midwest, and mixes influences of both areas to write original music that doesn’t fit easily into any one genre or style.
Coming up in the early 90’s alternative rock scene, Steve spent many years in original bands that mixed alt-rock, progressive rock, and a bit of metal, all the while working on songs that could be played solo outside of those projects. Touring and releasing his first solo album Mourning In The Evening in 2009, Steve spent some time in the solo scene before helping to form The Last Glimpse, and Kronos Resistor, two bands that he is still a part of today. in 2022, Steve released his second record Sadness, Pain, Or Joy which features a full band sound and guest spots by Dean Dinning of Toad The Wet Sprocket and SoCal singer/songwriter Cory Sipper. Steve now has a trio put together to perform songs from across his career.

Alternating Currents festival was founded in 2017 by the Downtown Davenport Partnership (DDP), a division of the Quad Cities Chamber. Now the event is powered by DDP and has expanded to include host downtowns Downtown Bettendorf Organization and Rock Island Downtown Alliance. The event is successful because of the many creative partners and businesses who come together to create an amazing experience for all.
