Jim Cook is a native of the Quad Cities. He was born and raised in Rock Island, IL. The only musician in his family, Jim plays multiple instruments and is a singer- songwriter. Jim was a professional drummer for over 20 years, touring the country with a variety of well-known, award-winning artists such as Eddie Money and Tim McGraw. Having caught the eye of a band while working on Broadway in Nashville, he was invited to be their lead performer, which launched his solo career. Now having played extensively in Nashville, Florida, and across the country, Jim is happy to return home to his roots. Focusing now on his solo and duo performances, he is excited to be home and playing his soulful classic rock music to long-time fans and new fans alike. Jim is recording his first solo album, entitled “Jim Cook: From Me To You” which will be released in the Spring of 2023.
