Crooked Cactus (AKA “Los Nopales Cuecos”) is the finest Latin rock band the Quad Cities have ever seen. Rick Jimenez and Paul Palos play drums and bass, David Navarro, Tony Ramirez, and Gerardo Bojorquez blow the horns, Mike Ortiz and Joe Soliz rock out on their guitars, Stephen Ramirez hammers his keyboards, and darn near all of them sing. Crooked Cactus really brings that big, show band sound every time they take the stage. With a song catalogue a mile deep, they can deliver anything from Wilson Pickett to Uptown Funk. There’s nothing quite like a hot horn band, and that’s what you get when Crooked Cactus comes to town. Must be 21+ to attend, as the Rhythm Room is located on the Casino Floor. See less
