Chamber Music Quad Cities opens its 30th season with an afternoon of beautiful music from the 19th Century. Franz Schubert takes center stage. Two wonderful musicians from the University of Iowa, Elizabeth Oakes and Volkan Orhon, perform Schubert’s “Trout” Quintet. His lovely Notturno (Nocturne) opens the program. An amusing duo for cello and bass by Rossini and the C-Minor Violin Sonata by the Norwegian Edvard Grieg complete the afternoon’s offerings. The brilliant Chinese-American violinist Mira Wang, new to the Quad Cities, is our guest violinist.
